One of the first things to teach kids are the basic colors. If you are frugal like me I like to take advantage of free resources.

I found a site offering a free color flash card page you can print. Click the image to the right to download the flashcard template.

Once you print the flashcard sheet, get a pair of scissors. Use the scissors to cut out the individual color cards. I found it easier to show the color flashcards on at a time.

Tip: Laminate or use a heavier paper like contruction paper. Your flashcards will last longer. Remember you can always print the flashcards over and over.

Idea: The color flashcards could be placed in a baby gift basket?
