Where can I find cheap chinese paper laterns for a wedding?
ByI am looking to use chinese paper lanterns as a decorations for my wedding. I have been searching the internet and didn’t know what size was appropriate, how many I would need and whether I need lights for all of them and the cheapest place I can purchase them. Our wedding is in a rustic barn/lodge area that has lots of gorgeous views of the blue ridge mountains. So, I don’t what a lot of decorations, but really like the look of lots of paper lanterns.

I just did a wedding this past weekend with paperlanterns – the cheapest we had found (in the color we needed) was the Paper Lantern Store ( http://www.paperlanternstore.com/ )
What we did, was bundle 3 12″ lanterns (tied together) and then placed a 14″ lantern underneath the bundle.
We had purchased lights for them, but the lights only lasted about 6-8 hours each, and when we had to hang the lanterns by 3pm, it means most didn’t make it through the night. I’d use floralytes which have a life of closer to 20 hours instead.
But you need to decide how many and what sizes you want to do, and whether you want to hang them individually or cluster them together.
Good luck finding the right ones for you…
