Most of them get their information from each other. One person might know of one or two sources, they share that info with others, and in return those people who know one or two things also pass along that info.

Those coupon sites get coupons from affiliate network such as cj.com, linkshare.com, etc.

Many merchants/retailers are in those network, too. They give out those coupons for affiliates (e.g., wow-coupons) to pick up.

Those coupon/deal sites all get commissions when you make purchases via their sites.
