Why the extremely cheap housing in Milton and some other areas?
By
I found REALLY REALLY cheap houses that cost $1600 and $1695 through mls.ca around the Milton and Oakville areas. Why is this? I selected residential areas for “sale,” not rent. I tried to find anywhere it said “rent” from the ads but the only thing i could find regarding the prices were “For Sale: $1695,” etc.
Or were the houses only for rent? What are you thoughts on this?

If this house is actually 1600 bucks, there is something really wrong with it. Either it has no running water, it’s in a lousy neighborhood, or it is completely a mess and needs so much *TLC* that it would cost the new owner thousands to fix!!
I have seen houses where I am on the MLS that are $7500. The reason they are so cheap is they are in a neighborhood that is full of crime, drugs and all the other things you would never want to live near.

maybe they just have the ad check wrong – land alone would be worth more than that – maybe that’s the monthly payment.
I have seen houses under $12,000 in depressed coal mine town in Pennsylvania, but they were wrecks – needed major renovations – actually probably better tearing down and buildling from scratch at those low prices
